The University of Salford is a friendly, vibrant and pioneering University. We continually invest in our campus, facilities and industry partnerships to enhance your student experience and provide opportunities to develop the skills needed to succeed in your career. Our courses open doors to rewarding and challenging careers in health, science, engineering, the arts, the built environment, media, music, law and business. You'll benefit from the expertise of our academics who have a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching, leading influential research projects and are highly respected in their fields. At Salford you'll be joining a vast student community with students from around the world and you'll be located in Greater Manchester which is home to the largest student population in Europe. Come to Salford and you'll be based on a leafy, riverside campus that is only one and half miles (3km) from Manchester city centre so you'll get the best of both worlds. With the opening of our MediaCityUK campus (right next to the BBC) we now have four campuses. Three are within a 10 minute walk of each other and the fourth, at MediaCity, is connected via a free bus service that runs every 10 minutes. We're also continuing to invest heavily in our campus and facilities, to ensure you get a great university experience.

Student Union

The Students' Union is dedicated to ensuring that your time at University is the amazing, life changing experience it should be. Our commitment is to you and to enhance students' lives. We tell the University what students want them to change and then work with them to deliver it. Every month we deliver a range of wins for students. Thousands of students are involved in our activity and sports groups, radio station and newspaper. We provide opportunities to meet people, get involved in exciting projects, have fun and develop skills and experience for life. We are independently run by students, for students.
