Why study this course

Corporate image and reputation have to be backed up by action and substance, and it is the job of public relations to manage that process. The course aims to help prepare you for a career in marketing, whilst providing you with a public relations specialism that will differentiate you from other marketing graduates. You will have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the strategic role of marketing by examining and applying key principles and concepts. This is complimented with a suite of specialist public relations modules to help provide you with a greater depth of understanding in this very important aspect of marketing.It's exciting, fast moving and rewarding; and with your combination of flair and good business sense, you could be part of it. This course brings together sound principles of marketing with aspects of corporate image building and creative communication. You'll have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Huddersfield's award winning marketing students and improve your chances of achieving graduate employment in the industry. Our students regularly compete in L'Oreal's 'Brandstorm' and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) 'The Pitch' competition (and have won both competitions in the past), and also went on the gain some excellent graduate jobs.
